book a catch up

Bookkeeping as unique as your small business, with tax strategies that'll make your bank account dance.

Time To Balance Your Life

Shit, did I just miss a tax deadline?

Wait, how am I supposed to pay myself?

UGH! I never want to think about recording receipts ever again!

Damn I forgot my business card. Guess I can’t write this off… or CAN I?

Trying to let your creative business juices flow but instead suffering from intrusive thoughts?

Not all bookkeepers have tax training. I do.

You would not believe how the system is set up to keep money in your pocket, as long as you can afford expensive accountants. Solopreneurs can’t afford to pay a CPA to catch all their savings, but you can hire me to do it at a more affordable price.

Staying on top of your expenses is one thing.  Accurately preparing them for taxes as a small business... is another.

  • Cannot imagine a world without creative small business weirdos to feed me/keep me pretty/get my ass on the dance floor.

I started with an education major, switched to biochemistry, and eventually got a degree in accounting. Don’t ask about my student loans. DO ask me any weird you question you have about business or life, because five years studying science taught me to weed out bullshit answers on the internet that sound legit. And I’ll do it for fun, not money.

Wait, now that I’m thinking about it, do ask me about my student loans. I know all the tricks to keeping payments down. Were we talking about your books? I have so many podcast recommendations.

We keep it casual around here, but let me introduce myself!

Hey, I'm Christina!

Let’s Make Your Numbers Werk

I work way too many odd jobs, and am mostly self-employed, from dog sitting to teaching kids how to drive; I make money in sporadic increments, rarely have a steady income and with some jobs the taxes are paid through my employer. Tax time each year is incredibly overwhelming for me. Enter Christina, she responded to a desperate plea I made for tax help  on Facebook, soon after we had a zoom meeting, and she helped me figure out what I should do to manage my self-employment and other jobs. She was able to talk me through a plan that made sense and was easy to follow. I was able to speak candidly with Christina about my financial situation and I felt at ease. I highly recommend Christina to anyone who needs to discuss financial matters, but honestly I think she is a good sounding board for any endeavor you may be interested in.

She responded to a desperate plea I made for tax help.

I reached out to Christina because I didn't know what I was doing at all. I sent over what I had been using to do bookkeeping, which is a generous way of saying I sent her a horrible Google Sheet. One of the first things she said to me was "does Jane know she runs a business?" In theory I do, but also I do not lol. My wife and I own a small business and the business running part of my job is my least favorite. She was so helpful, got my shit together and helped me set up systems that are so much easier to use and make things like tax time a breeze by comparison. She helped me understand the things I needed to understand and has helped me save money and time. She was accessible and very patient with all my dumb questions and is there when I enevidably screw something up. She makes it easy to have a good laugh and then get it sorted. She's the best!

As a new business owner coming into my third year of self employment, the daunting back end work has started to become a bit overwhelming. Christina has really been able to assist in gaining a clear picture of where I'm at with my business and how I can move forward. From organization to shaping income and expenses, I confidently feel much better and less stressed about having my bases covered! Having a great bookkeeper is an absolute necessity and I strongly recommend Lee Bookkeeping to anyone and everyone who is trying to get a grip on their business numbers!

I confidently feel much better and less stressed.

Christina is amazing! She has helped me so much. Not only the aspects of keeping my books, but the relief of having to do it myself and clearing my plate to accomplish something else on the "To-Do" list. Her patience and continuous helps provide that trust when using a bookkeeper.

Christina is amazing!
